My pet peeves and the matter of price

WOOLWORTHS recently announced the launch of a comprehensive pet insurance product, WPetInsure, which became available in mid-August.

It includes a range of customisable plans designed to “cater to diverse lifestyles and budgets”.

The company said in a press release that its cover encompassed medical expenses, routine care, hospital stays and even transport.

Checkers did the same thing a year or two ago by offering several insurance options that are underwritten by OUTsurance.

Options ranged from R89 a month to R245, dependent on coverage, including events such as accidental cover for injuries, illnesses and other visits to the vet.

Absa, Outsurance and Hollard are also active in the space.
