Feeling Bude

We enjoy your regular ‘48 hours’ feature, particularly the recent one on Bude (issue 470), a town that has a special place in our family’s heart. We have visited for years and agree with you that the beach and the seawater lido are its best attractions. I think you were lucky with the parking on your visit, though – it’s often heaving, especially on summer weekends.

We’ve stayed at several campsites in the area, including two of the sites you mention: Upper Lynstone and Wooda Farm Holiday Park are both lovely. The Bank at Bude tapas restaurant is indeed excellent. It serves delicious food in a beautiful setting and is always our first Bude foodie recommendation
