 White is one of the most striking hues in a garden and adds a calm, cool and classic feel to a flowerbed.

“White looks amazing in all four seasons and always draws the eye,” says Pietman Diener, gardening and plant expert from Stellenbosch. Follow his tips for using white blooms in your garden:

“Create contrast by grouping white flowering plants with green foliage plants; or choose those with soft grey leaves, such as silver bush everlasting (Helichrysum petiolare), combined with blooms in pale shades for a tranquil look.
