TELFORD super-lightweight Kirk Stevens took the Midlands Area belt home to Shropshire after being adjudged a 96-94 winner over Longton’s Jamie Stewart by referee Chris Dean at Fenton Manor.
Having made the early running, and at, saw his lead gradually eroded as the Telford man, storm weathered, began to grow in confidence. By the halfway point he had closed the gap and was pressing ahead.
