morning tea is simply not complete without one of these sultana-crammed, coconut icing-topped buns. But there’s a secret this delicious bun is hiding from you – it contains a veg! Mind-blowingly, the Boston Bun is traditionally made using mashed spuds. Gasp! Times were tough in the early 20th century so potato was commonly used as a flour substitute. To tryand it was off-the-hook delicious – you definitely couldn’t taste the potato. Your whole life hasn’t been a lie, though, because the buns you get from Baker’s Delight are spud-free.
