From Grandma With Love

Autumn departs in a swirl of leaves and stunning sunsets as winter announces its arrival with frost that sparkles like diamond dust on rooftops at sunrise. My thoughts turn to cozy things like crackling wood fires on the hearth, piling extra quilts on the beds, and holiday tasks like wrapping gifts and baking. I am a grandmother now and being “GiGi” to three little boys makes preparing for Thanksgiving and Christmas even more fun and exciting.

Our 8-year-old grandson lives just around the corner from us. He has the wit and timing of a stand-up comedian. We discuss the pros and cons of Godzilla versus King Kong, plan pranks, bake things, and engage in raucous rounds of checkers and Go Fish
