The Malaysian Electric Vehicle Owners Club (MyEvoc) officially began back in 2019 after a group of individuals first decided in 2018 to support electric vehicle (EV) users and promote the adoption of EVs in Malaysia.
“A bunch of us got together and formally registered the club in May 2019 because we realised that our nation is falling behind [in terms of EV adoption]. Plus, we noticed that a few EV users were struggling due to the lack of infrastructure,” shares Datuk Shahrol Halmi, the co-founder and president of MyEvoc.
