HOYS Preview

BACK AFTER 36 YEARS

RACHEL HALL is heading to the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) for the first time since a pony Foxhunter final appearance in 1987 after she qualified for the NAF bronze league final with nine-year-old mare Renkum Balousina (Baloubet Junior Z x Lauriston).

Rachel didn’t compete at all for a couple of decades then stopped riding altogether when her daughters took up the sport. Balousina came to the family as a fouryear-old for Rachel’s oldest daughter to ride and eventually Rachel made the decision to “come out of retirement”, but was surprised to find herself making a HOYS comeback.
