Sunak backs off on net zero

Before Rishi Sunak even announced details of his plans to “water down” the government’s net-zero pledges, the “backlash” had already begun, says Steerpike in The Spectator. Ed Miliband said the Tories had “failed on the climate crisis”. Green MP Catherine Lucas described the U-turn as “a prime example of environmental vandalism” and some Tory MPs are “furious”.
