The display delivers a high level of colour accuracy whatever you throw at it

If you’re looking for a best-in-class monitor, the Dell UltraSharp U3224KBA is a great place to start. Beautifully clad in silver, grey and black, it comes with a stunning 6K (6134x3456 resolution) 31.5-inch display, a height-and tilt-adjustable stand, a 4K webcam and a built-in Thunderbolt hub. There’s also a 2-channel soundbar. The price, though, will make you wince – at £2,542.80 it’s over £1k more than Apple’s standard Studio Display.

For context, Apple’s 5K Retina display features 600cd/m2 brightness, DCI-P3 wide colour support
