INTRODUCTION

BEING elected as the chairman of the Parrot Society UK last November was an honour and this will be my first National Exhibition in that role.

I am not new to the National, having assisted on the day as a trustee for many years. My interest in keeping and breeding birds goes back to when I was seven years of age. My father – who had no interest in birds – bought me a couple of waxbills and a couple of green singing finches for a birthday present, as that's what I had asked for.
