Wheelspin, slide, highside… but not this time. This time it came back from the slide after stepping out on the wet track, so it was more spin, slide, survive. The rear wheel had spun and come around heading towards full lock, towards disaster. It wasn’t violent, but certainly forceful, and faster than my brain could respond. Thank heaven for decades of reflex conditioning; my hand eased back the gas as my internal gyro alarm went off… and the wheel gently came back into line.
