PRINCE HARRY’S RHINO BOOST
British royal part of rewilding project
THE prince’s conservation charity plans to release 2 000 endangered white rhinos into the wild after recently purchasing the largest rhino breeding farm in the world.
The 7 800-hectare South African rhino farm, Platinum Rhino Conservation Project, was previously owned by businessman John Hume (81), who put it up for auction for $10 million (R180m) earlier this year as he’d run out of savings to keep it going.
After failing to receive any bids, conservation NGO African Parks, which is backed by billionaire benefactors and headed by, stepped in to help.
