What You Need To Know
1 Cream T? I thought that company made pickups, not guitars.
Yes, it certainly does, but its first guitar – the original version of the Aurora you see here – was launched in the autumn of 2021. Billy F Gibbons was a part of the design team, along with Cream T founder, Thomas Nilsen.
2 So why is there a version two?
The original guitars were made by PJD Guitars and were one reason why UK Guitar Builders was set up: effectively a manufacturing hub to produce not only PJD and Cream T but also Seth Baccus and Chapman UK. That venture closed earlier this year and Cream T now has a new manufacturing partner with whom it tweaked and improved the design of the guitar.
3 Is there still a pickup-swapping feature available?
Yes, the new Aurora is available with the Relish system, which allows you to swap pickups in seconds. But if that isn’t for you, there’s a fixed-pickup version that’s less expensive.
