Auscision Models have received the first painted pilot models of their r-t-r Victorian Railways ‘Harris’ Suburban Electric Multiple Units, these will be available in four and seven unit packs. These models are expected into production the first quarter of 2024.

Eureka Models have received an engineering pilot model of their r-t-r New South Wales Government Railways (NSWGR) AD60 Beyer Garratt steam locomotive. For this re-run some retooling was undertaken followed by extensive testing Importantly, a Zimo decoder was fitted complete with the sound files. With the final steps in the assembly process getting under-way, Eureka is scheduled to visit the factory in November so delivery can be expected early next year. Planned models are:

• 6001, 6027, 6032 and 6035 engine black, long bunker, sound tubes
• 6007 and 6016 ‘ex works’ red lined black
• 6029 as preserved – Australian Railway Historical Society - Australian Capitol Territory
• 6029 as preserved – NSW Transport Heritage
• 6020 ‘Centenary Colours’

The C38 Class re-run is currently scheduled for late 2023 – early 2024.

New printed circuit boards have been designed, manufactured and forwarded to Eureka for testing. They are now being installed in an engineering pilot model along with ZIMO decoders fitted with the appropriate sound files for further testing. The re-run will include the following engine numbers.

Streamlined:

• 3801 green/black/grey • 3802 and 3803* special green 1946-1953 • 3804 and 3805* Black
