DAY 1

First, you've got to get to know is famous for its walking tours through the ‘Old City’, now known as Johannesburg's innercity. Take a half-day walking tour through Marshalltown, exploring the oldest district of the inner-city. Marvel at plush Edwardian-era architecture and the history of Johannesburg's pre-gold rush roots. Admire the shadowboxer sculpture where Mandela and Tambo once had offices or stand in the square where Gandhi once worked as a lawyer.
