IF LOVE Island tried to match seals and basking sharks this would be its televisual home. Taransay, in Scotland’s Western Isles, is uninhabited, by humans at least, but with the owners now seeking ‘a visionary partner to carry forward a nature restoration project’.
Taransay has already had a spell in the spotlight as the location for in the early days of reality television, but this is about tapping into the island’s geology and archaeology, as well as its ecological and cultural heritage, to drive community engagement and eco-tourism.
