JamJar Edit is the inspired ‘daughter’ of Melissa Richardson’s successful floristry emporium, JamJar Flowers, which was founded in 2009 on the simple concept of creating natural, beguiling flower arrangements in jam and pickle jars. Joined by former fine art student, Amy Fielding, and head florist, Talena Lowther, the business bloomed into bespoke events floristry featuring British-grown flowers.
It was a commission to create an invitation – or rather 700 of them – to announce the arrival of a new floral-based collection from British fashion label Mulberry, which quite literally threw JamJar into the art of flower pressing. Inspired by blooms incorporated in the textiles, Melissa and Amy began pressing hydrangeas, Queen Anne’s lace, love-in-a-mist, and cornflowers, with the idea that
