Living and working on a property called ‘Coondarra’, around 90km north of Chinchilla, Shari Knudsen is wife to Peter, and mother to their two beautiful kids, 18yo Hayley, and 16yo Mac. Together they run a fairly large, family-owned and operated beef enterprise, and Shari just loves it.
‘We have roughly 6000 head of purebred Waygu, and some Wagyu-cross cattle running over five properties that are spread around Chinchilla, Wandoan and Mitchell, in Queensland. I love what we do and I love that we get to do it together as a family.’
Shari grew up in a large family, having four older sisters and one brother, and has been riding her whole life. She grew up mustering on her family’s property and attending Pony Club.
