Straight walled anyway.
A lot of states have long regulated deer hunters to use only shotguns with slugs or maybe a muzzle loader. Then somebody convinced a politician somewhere that straight walled cartridges are just as safe as slugs. The idea took off and now a lot of states are allowing straight walled rifle cartridges and the list continues to grow.
The lineup of cartridges for deer hunting is a bit limited, but with all the emerging markets the ammo companies are taking notice. In spite of the unprecedented ammo shortage that has been going on for years, we are seeing new cartridge introductions to add to the list.
