Usindiso was No 5 on list of dangerous buildings in CBD

THE Johannesburg Property Owners and Managers Association (JPOMA) says the mayor and the City of Joburg must take responsibility for the tragic deaths of 76 people at the Usindiso Building this week.

The general manager at JPOMA, Angela Rivers, said the organisation had warned the City of Johannesburg about the dire conditions of the hundreds of people who lived in the building.

The gutted building, on the corner of Albert and Delvers streets in Marshalltown in the Joburg CBD, is owned by the City and early reports indicate that
