1 It’s National Black Bear Day. Canada is home to approximately 380,000 black bears, making us one of the countries with the largest black bear populations in the world. These bears can be found in every province and territory (but not in PEI), inhabiting diverse habitats ranging from forests to mountains to tundra regions.
