Yap Lian Sing has invested in durian cultivation for about 4 years now. However, his durian trees are not in a good shape. Although under the right weather conditions, these trees do not seem to flower at all. This has cause him to be sceptical, especially when he sees other farmers’ 3 or 4-year-old durian trees begin to flower and bear fruits.
However, this changed completely when he met Tan Kok Siang, a durian farmer from Simpang Renggam and learned the steps of caring for young trees from him. Yap Lian Sing managed to help him make a few tweaks and the trees started to grow normally.
SWIFT ACTION TO SAVE THE DURIAN TREES
