During her 70 years on the throne, Elizabeth II never put a (stylish) foot wrong in the sartorial stakes.
Always appropriately dressed, she worked around the royal dress code with sensitivity, observing the rules while not being governed by them, with one defining – and constant – theme: bright, block colours.
