THE Roberts family – and the wider hotcar community – lost a great man with the passing of Matthew Roberts on 26 April this year. Eldest son of Rick and Wendy, big brother to Ian and Tim, and loving dad to Aiden and Page, Matt shared the family passion for cars and was an avid reader stretching right back to his short-pants-wearing days. “Matt was always the showy brother when it came to cars,” Tim says. “Ian is the artsy one, and I’m all about going quick, but it was a combination of these different ideas and skills that just worked for us, not only as brothers but as great mates, too.
