This limited series tells the story (from Bonnie Garmus’ bestseller) of the character’s relatably untidy journey, which begins seven years prior as a lab assistant thwarted by sexism. “Elizabeth is a force. Everyone who meets her feels her uniqueness,” says executive producer Lee Eisenberg, adding, “Brie embodies her good qualities: hilarious, thoughtful, sharp, making everyone feel like their best selves.” That last attribute also applies to Zott’s kindred spirit, chemist Calvin Evans (Lewis Pullman, ); each is a catalyst for the other’s success in the lab.
