BUDGERIGARS
IT IS almost September. That means many budgerigar breeders around the country will soon be starting to look at pairing their birds up following a rest period and show season.
I have never been one of those breeders who puts their birds down towards the end of summer to catch the better weather and to give themselves a good start to the breeding season to come. I wonder if I am missing abash this year to see if I can have a great start. I need to kickstart things in the birdroom after last year. The issue is that I often find, after a breeding season, that I need a good rest period myself just as much as the birds do!
