VOLVO 700

The boxy 700 Series was a new range-topping model for Volvo, and first appeared in 1982 as the luxurious 760 GLE using the latest 2.8-litre fuel-injected V6 from the 260-series. A VW-sourced six-cylinder diesel was later made available too, as was the surprisingly rapid 760 Turbo with its boosted 2.3-litre four pot. There was a 760 estate too, launched in 1985, and a facelift for the 1988 model year.
