WEED OUT THE DRUG PUSHERS

IT seems clear from the amount of drug tests being failed that either the boxers taking illegal substances are getting careless or the drug testers are getting luckier. What isn't so obvious is what now happens to those boxers who are caught.

Zolani Tete recently received a fouryear ban from UKAD, Amir Khan two years from the same authority, while out in America, Alberto Puello was suspended for just six months and, worse, the WBA declined to strip him of their middleweight title. Instead, he was named a "champion in recess".
