Lambretta SX150

The 1966 launch of the SX200 firmly cemented the 200cc Lambretta into Innocenti’s model range – but what of the rest? Now that the Italian market had access to the SX200, the TV175 had been discontinued, meaning that the next capacity machine was the 150. With the Li150 Special also being culled, that only left the Li150. This had been the backbone of the company’s sales, with more than 400,000 being produced across the three series, and the Li150 Series 3 still offered good performance at a competitive price to its rivals. However, by this time it looked somewhat outdated and something new was needed to keep Innocenti in the limelight.
