Part 16 PRACTICAL SCOOTERING
Our previous Vespa tech instalments have provided some tangible results, big steps if you will, that have had a good visual (and therefore motivational) impact on the series; chassis back from the paint shop, engine rebuilt and slotted in, front end fork rebuild and refit etc. The last of the ‘big’ items that will continue to maintain such a visual pace is the headset, which now needs rebuilding and fitting, along with cables and the electrics etc. Then the ‘silhouette’ will be complete.
Once we get past this milestone, though, then it will be all the little fiddly trim bits, like runners, rubbers, indicators, attaching cables, connecting sub-looms and relay switches etc. All these things are far less interesting and visually stimulating but clearly necessary to complete the project. I hate the snail-like pace of progress
