It dropped the “little” for a reason – this was the take on the fairytale care of director Catherine Hardwicke. It’s more of a sexy medieval horror film with the wide-eyed Amanda Seyfried as the crimson-cloaked Valerie caught between two lupine-leaning dudes as Gary Oldman’s high priest encourages everyone to break out the torches and pitchforks. Not really family fare for this
