INTO SPACE WE GO!
Mom and daughter duo make history
A UNIVERSITY student and her mother are still flying high after embarking on Virgin Galactic’s first space tourist flight. ANA MAYERS (18) and her mother, KEISHA SCHAHAFF (46), both from Antigua in the Caribbean, won their tickets in a competition and became the first mother-daughter duo to fly to space together when the VMS Eve took off from Spaceport America earlier this month.
They travelled about 88km above Earth where they experienced zero gravity during the flight, which lasted just over an hour.
