Did you ride as a child?
Not really. My two sisters, Lucy and Vanessa, were both keen and would go for lessons. I got dragged along, taking a football or a cricket bat to entertain myself. I became very tall very quickly — I’m 6ft 2in — and so riding was never really an option, plus judging by recent interviews involving Stradivarius, I’m not a natural horseman either.
