It was a mercifully rain-free evening in town when a host of countryside enthusiasts descended on the Cavalry &’s Julius Cowdrey and adventurers Hugo and Ross Turner, were surveyed by the Club’s former military members hanging on the wall. Once old friends had been met and new ones acquainted, it was upstairs for dinner in the Coffee Room. The menu was head-noddingly game orientated, with Eat Wild providing the meat for the delicious game terrine starter followed by venison loin and a 127 Eton Mess for pudding.
