I’d been thinking about another project for some time, even though the Simpson collection already numbers four classics. Initial thoughts were that it might be time for a return to the world of BMC Farinas; after all, those are the cars which bought me into the wonderful world of classic cars in the early 1980s. I was member number 23 of the Cambridge-Oxford Owners Club.

One thing was, however, holding me back. Do I really want to go back to something I’ve done before? Maybe fresh classic territory might be better?
