Box wagons in demand as WH Davis to build 60 JNAs

BRITAIN’S last wagon builder, Nottinghamshire-based WH Davis (WHD), will build 60 JNA bogie box wagons of a similar design to its recently completed fleet for Land Recovery.

Construction will start in September, after the completion of the latest batch of 30 IIA-D biomass covered hoppers for Drax Power. While the body is expected to be identical to the previously delivered vehicles, the major difference will be the adoption of a wagon-mounted brake system, which will see some of the brake equipment moved back to the underframe.
