FOR THE FIRST FEW YEARS after our move to New Hampshire, I could barely keep my head above water. I had three young kids running me left me operating on caffeine and autopilot to the point that I put the wrong address on the envelope of Mom’s birthday card last year, and my mother still lived in my childhood home!
