Yes, garden ornaments can certainly look tacky, particularly when not given sufficient consideration to what they are, what they are made of, or where they go. They can also detract from the natural beauty of your own plants and garden – I’d much rather receive a lovely hellebore, hardy geranium or spring-flowering bulbs as an agreeable ‘gardeners’ gift’.
