Help! Should we still get married?
Q My fiance and I met online during COVID-19. But because we lived miles apart, even after lockdown we only met on weekends. We moved in together four months ago and are getting married in summer 2024. But now we can’t stop arguing, and sex has stopped completely. We love each other but have both wondered whether to postpone the wedding. Are we panicking unnecessarily?
SUSAN SAYS
A You are probably panicking unnecessarily, but you probably should postpone the wedding. Basing a life-long commitment on weekend romance isn’t wise – you don’t know each other well enough to judge compatibility. So I’d go) to learn whether you’re suited. If that doesn’t help, you’ll be glad you didn’t marry. If it does help, you’ll have a far better chance of happiness.
