Acorn to Arabella is launched

Finally – it happened! One of the projects we’ve followed most closely over the past five years, to , finally culminated when the 37ft 6in (11.4m) sailing yacht slid into the water on her launch day. is a William Atkin-designed gaff double-ender built the traditional way over seven years by Steve Dennet and team on his family farm in Granby, using trees planted by his grandparents. It’s one of the YouTube classic yacht projects that has captivated the world. The launch was live streamed to followers of the project and was later broadcast on CBS News.
