What do you do when you want to start off with portrait photography but don’t have a lot of money to spend? Consider how you can get creative with what the large majority of homes have – domestic lights. This challenge pushed creative limits and a whole new way of working. However, the fundamentals of portrait lighting remain the same. You want to aim to flatter the subject with light, first and foremost. Then the creativity follows.
