Being designed specifically for mirrorless cameras, Tamron can use an advanced lens design that factors in the built-in optical aberration correction available on Sony E-mount cameras. This means that barrel and pincushion distortion, vignetting, and lateral chromatic aberration can all be corrected by the camera, allowing a more creative optical construction to be used.
