NOT many people can say they have a 5.2 million-year-old sabre tooth cat named after them. But Professor Anusuya Chinsamy-Turan can.
She is a palaeontologist who studies prehistoric life forms like dinosaurs, and is employed at the Department of Biological Sciences at UCT.
Chinsamy-Turan grew up in Laudium, Pretoria, where she attended Laudium Primary and Laudium Highschool.
“My father was a teacher and became a principal
