DEATHS ON OUR ROADS

Most of us think nothing of climbing into our cars and driving short or long distances. But while UK roads are reportedly among the safest in the world, collisions still happen and can have devastating consequences. Tragically, on average, five people are killed and more than 60 are seriously injured on the UK’s roads every single day. New drivers are hugely at risk, with one in five involved in a crash during their first year of driving. Just recently, it was reported that there has been a sharp increase in the number of road deaths in Britain, according to the Department for Transport, with last year seeing a 8.7% increase on the previous year.
