A Dogg’s life

WHERE to start with Tymon Dogg? The songwriter and violinist born Stephen Murray is best known for his work with The Clash – he sang “Lose This Skin” on and played on . But his original forays into music saw him work alongside Jimmy Page, Paul McCartney and James Taylor. Later he recorded several solo albums, including 1982’s , which is being reissued in July. (produced by Glyn Johns) may follow, along with a new album he’s recorded in Spain with a band who backed the flamenco singer Enrique Morente.
