With the 2024 Paris Paralympics just a year away, the para-cycling road races promise to be especially competitive, as the top riders gather for the last major meet before the climax of the four-year cycle. Or three year, in this instance.

Dumfries is the venue for these events, so it’s a slightly shorter trip for any fans travelling north to watch the action. The 15.5km circuit starts at Crichton University Campus, from where the riders will head south down the exposed Bankend road, before looping back up north
