Mitch, I know exactly the rock you are talking about! The approach is tricky and every wheel placement has to be spot on just to get up to the run-up. My method is to not force myself to do it every time if I'm not feeling it or that gully has had heavy rain. Take the pressure off yourself – in my view, it's harder than you have made out.
