MATERIALS

• 25cm (⅜yd) raw natural linen • Assorted fabrics scraps at least 2¼in square to total about 30cm (⅜yd) (patchwork) • Fat eighth of two coordinating print fabrics (applique) • 40cm (½yd) coordinating print fabric (lining) • 25cm (⅜yd) lightweight fusible interfacing/stabiliser such as Weaveline • Two rectangles, 14½ x 15½in of thin batting • 35cm (14in) zipper in a colour to coordinate with the print fabrics • Size 10 or 11 milliners needle • Perle 12 thread in colours to coordinate with the applique fabrics (embroidery) • Size 24 or 26 chenille needle (hand quilting) • Pre-cut 2in coff in and 1⁄2in octagon papers for English paper piecing or template plastic, fine permanentmarking pen and stiff paper to make your own • Erasable fabric-marking pen • Glue pen • Rotary cutter, ruler and mat • Sewing machine with 1⁄4in and • General sewing supplies
