Known as “the mother of makeup”, Dame Pat McGrath has been the go-to choice for fashion brands including Alexander McQueen, Lanvin, Miu Miu and Versace for over two decades.

Each season, the Northampton-born, New York-based make-up artist (inset above), whose celebrity clients include Madonna and Naomi Campbell, creates looks for more than 60 shows at Fashion Weeks around the world. And in addition to producing countless catwalk trends, Pat has a career packed with firsts.
